atelier de traction de StockemThe Schaerbeek traction workshop essentially performs maintenance on electrical railcars. The workshop is equipped with a modern tower pit for reshaping axles. A new work hall was built for the maintenance and repair of towed wagons and equipped with roof access platforms for work on double level carriages. This workshop also has multifunction inspection and cleaning platforms on which daily maintenance interventions are performed.

Access

  • Take the train to Schaerbeek station.
  • Leave the station in the direction of Place Princesse Elisabeth. On this square, turn left and take avenue G. Rodenbach.
  • At Avenue Zénobe Gramme, turn left and go on to the bridge. In the middle of this bridge, take the service path on your right.
  • Stay on this service path until you pass under a railway bridge. You have now reached the BUD (administrative building no 4). The entrance to this building is on the right hand side. The walk takes about 25 minutes.
